About Jordan
Personal Profile
I was born and raised in the magic city, Birmingham, Alabama. I graduated from Troy University in December 2024. I received my Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, and a minor in public relations. My life has been an interesting journey, to say the least.

I learned to face adversity and change when I graduated high school during the COVID-19 pandemic. Those were the times when I truly learned resilience and adaptability. Throughout my college years, I stayed very active and busy! During my time at Troy University, I sought to make the most of every opportunity, both academically and socially.

I served as a director and in-show producer for TROY TrojanVision News, a student-led newscast that airs three live broadcasts five days a week. As the director I was tasked with creating graphics by finding and editing pictures. Over the years I gained invaluable production experience, working behind the scenes to create 30-minute newscasts. I was able to learn about every area of the newsroom and production booth. I worked with production cameras, sound boards, video server, teleprompter and more. I also learned how to operate high-quality cameras and edit using Edius software.

I was actively involved in campus organizations and community service. I joined the University Activities Council, to help plan and promote activities for the student body. In 2022, I became a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Since joining this organization, I have been able to hone my leadership and service skills while contributing to meaningful community initiatives.
These experiences, both in the classroom and beyond, have shaped me into a multi-faceted individual. I believe my experiences have also shaped me into a well-rounded individual that has prepared me to take on challenges in my professional career. I am extremely eager to apply my learned skills and gain more knowledge as I enter the field of media and communications.
